How Does CyberBully Alert Work?
Download CyberBully Alert software and activate your membership using your license key.
Enter email addresses and phone numbers for the adults who will receive the alert.
The CyberBully Alert icon will be installed in the Tool bar for Windows users and the Menu Bar for Macintosh users
With a live Internet connection, your child can send an instant alert via email and/or text message by clicking on the icon and following the “SEND ALERT” instructions. Two messages can be sent: an automated alert, and a customizable alert that can include an incident description.
Refer to the CyberBully Alert folder installed on your computer to view the saved screen shot when the alert is sent out.

How will I know if my child has sent an alert?
When your child clicks on the CyberBully Alert Icon - and chooses to send the alert, all email and phone addresses that have been entered in the preferences field will receive a generated alert message.

How will I know who the alert is coming from?
Your child will have the option to send a second alert message and include his/her name and a description of the incident. This second alert message will be sent after the initial alert and will include any text that is entered into the fields.

What do I do if I receive an alert?
The most important thing to do is to call the child who sent the alert. Make contact with them immediately if possible. The CyberBully Alert software is to be used to initiate communication between adults and children, it is up to the adults to assess the situation and handle it accordingly.

When should my child use CyberBully Alert?
It is important to sit down with your child and explain this software and its uses. Your child can send an alert for any online activity that he/she feels uncomfortable about. Please refer to the resource page for additional tools.

Can I reply to the alert messages I receive?
No. The alert messages are designed to notify you of a situation in which your son/daughter wants to inform you of. It is up to the parents to make contact with their child after receiving an alert.

Who should I add to receive alert messages?
CyberBully Alert recommends parents, other family members, teachers, coaches etc. The recipients should be adults and should be notified that they may be receiving these alerts from your child/children.

How do I use the screen shot feature?
Each time an alert is sent, a picture of the screen the user is on will be taken and saved to a folder on your computer. The screen shots are to be used for documentation purposes. Each screen shot will include the time and date of the alert, along with a picture of the screen the user is on when the alert is sent.

Where are the screen shots saved?
The CyberBully Alert folder is installed when the software is downloaded. Each time an alert is sent it will save the screen shot in this folder. Refer to this folder to be able to view details of the screen that your child is on when the alert is sent. These saved files are only stored on the users computer.

Can I change who the alerts are sent to?
Yes. The preferences box allows you to add and remove the recipients emails and phone numbers at anytime. You will need to enter your license key to make any changes.

How do you guarantee I will receive the CyberBully Alerts?
The messages are generated from an online account with 99.9% uptime.

How many computers can I put this software on?
The license key will allow you to download the Cyberbully Alert software on 3 computers. Only one monthly fee will be charged per license key.
